  I ordered a cake several weeks in advance for an adoption shower I was throwing. I wanted apicture of the family on the cake and a message of "Congratulations" to the family. I made sure to call and confrim that Verda got my digital image that I had sent via e-mail and thought everything was alright. When I picked up the cake it had the "s" missing off "Congratulations" and the sides were a little smushed. I was also told that they had affixed the imagethe night before only to return the net morning and find it extremely distorted (black). Apparently the oil in the whipped cream had reacted with the image. This happend again once I got it home and when I called to see if they would fix it I was told that they could, but that I would have to return the cake and they were going to charge me to fix it. This is UNACCEPTABLE! I would have been happy to pay if it had been my fault but it wasn't. I would never have ordered the cake if I knew there was a chance this would happen. Someone should have warned me when I placed the order. Thr flavor was decent but for what I paid--$55 for a 1/2 sheet I would have been happier with the service MINUS the hassle and poor customer service had I gone to Fred Meyer or Carrs etc. Think twice before ordering from Verda's Cakes & Things!

  This place had the only dragon cake in the area ... However when we went to pic it up they got the order wrong then told my pregnant wife she was wrong when she called them on it. I will never go to this place again..

  I ordered my wedding cake from them last summer. Lets just say I was beyond pleased with the flavor and quality!!!!!! Me and my hubby went out there and got a dozen cupcakes to taste test. We picked raspberry swirl, red velvet and orange. They made the cake exactly the way we wanted it. Their price also can not be beat! They are just absolutely amazing!!!!
